Robots for Retailers
Bossa Nova Robotics
Yep. That's a robot in your store.
What's it doing? Basic stuff. Like scanning products on the shelves, making a map of the store, and helping employees keep track of where items are located.
- It's helping out. Giving employees information about each product, so they can help you find your favorite cereal when you want it. Even at 3 a.m.
- No, it won't run into you. It sees things in an aisle. Like you, boxes, and even your cart. So hang tight. It will go around you.
- It's a pretty big deal. It's giving employees information they've never seen before. And they're psyched. One employee actually said, "Shut your mouth! Is this my store?"
- All this to say, we're super excited. Now let's help you find that cereal.
About the Company
For the past three years, we've been developing robots that solve some of the biggest problems for the world's largest retailers. We're helping stores make educated inventory decisions by collecting terabytes of data about the products in the store. We work in a fast-paced, creative environment. If you're exceptionally strong at what you do and are not afraid to venture into uncharted territory, we want to hear from you.
Bossa Nova was formed in February 2005 as a spin off from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute to commercialize advanced robotic technology as consumer products.
